[Barbara ought to look excited, despite the natural wariness and frustrated curiosity. Instead, she looks a little devastated.]

You know when you're pretty sure something isn't going to work, and you try it anyway? It's silly, isn't it? [Her voice almost cracks.

Then she takes a deep breath, and sets her shoulders, and makes herself sound strong.]

I've got to wonder if combining our abilities would let them reach further, but it's not an experiment I'm willing to try just yet.

Could everyone who's ended up with Admiral abilities check in, please? [She's kept track, of course, but that's no guarantee, she hasn't spoken to everyone directly.] I'd like to know what everyone's managed to do, and what their status is.

Cambridge - do you think scanning us would be worth it?

[And she hasn't actually told anyone but Elena that she's got the powers yet, so this is a little awkward.]

[Anya's words ring in her head, as she looks at Abigail - It's not that she's entirely trustworthy, but she's...invested in the barge. So far, that's seemed to prove true.]

Thanks for telling me. How would you feel about being scanned by Cambridge?

I'd be fine with that. I trust him.

[Although if it were Barbara doing the scanning, Abigail would probably say no. She's more flexible now, but still not quite willing to give out her trust to just anybody.]

If there's a way for me to be more heavily involved, I'd appreciate it. I don't like sitting on the sidelines.

You can go after me, then. [She's pretty sure there won't be any bad reactions - they're not doing anything invasive, at least not yet - but better safe than sorry.]

I hear you, but I'm not sure what any of us should be doing just yet.

Although - Stephen suggested looking for the Admiral. If we do try to do something all at once, we could focus on that.
