[Barbara is sitting her chair, hands folded in her lap.

For the first time, her full setup is in view; all the monitors, the maps, the schematics, the projections. (One is a map of the Barge; one is a theoretical schematic; one is of the space outside.)

When she speaks, her voice is calm and confident, betraying none of the frustration and anxiety that's been tormenting her.]

We all know, by now, that wherever we're headed is dangerous - potentially moreso than anything we've faced before.

I'm here to offer some protection. [She reaches behind her, presses a few keys, and the middle projection changes; it's become a black body suit, slowly revolving, with labels describing each area.] I've been making body armour for a long time, now. It's tough but light-weight. Resistant to bullets, fire, and blades. Give me your measurements and I can provide you with one.

[Her lips quirk.] And I can personalise it if you want.

Of course, they say the best defence is a good offence.

[She changes the projection again, this time showcasing various throwing weapons; shuriken, knives, chakram, darts, and batarangs. Each are labelled and described.]

I can provide you with these weapons and show you how to use them.

You designed Stephanie's "Bat suit". She mentioned it. Excellent work for flexibility and defense. I've got seven confirmed so far -- Chris D'amico, Rorschach, Edward Nygma, Richard Riddick, Toshiko Sato, Zev Bellringer, and myself. I'm also recreating Rorschach's 'grappling gun'.

What do you use for your weaponry? Ceramics, alloy?

I'd owe you a favor if you talked to Jeryline, my warden, and outfitted her.

I'm glad to see everyone is preparing, though.

Depends on the weapon. For standard batarangs I use titanium.

How are you doing with the grappling gun?

I haven't actually invented those yet, but after I take a look at them I'm sure I can manage to make you a few.

[...Sigh.] Yes, you are, but I'm confiscating them after this port is over.

We can't do anything about that except work as fast as we can.

Not a problem, but you'll have to retrieve them from the corpses yourself.

There's something wrong with your capes if I would inevitably fall on my ass. If I really must, I'll part with the possibility of a cape in exchange for everything else in your arsenal and all future projects. I require a lot of compensation.

Mmm. Good. Durable, lightweight - perfect for throwing.

Have the parts running through fab now while the under-armor is getting stitched. All the first round of armor will be done in a day or two. Then the over suit begins.

Pretty good, actually. I've spent around a year training with Beatrix, not using any of my powers. I've also done some training with Dean. Back when I was an Inmate, my powers were severely restricted, so I worked out every day for a couple of hours. The routine stuck with me.

Although, I wouldn't mind a suit to be on the safe side. I'm going to give my Kryptonian battle armor to Cassel.
