[Barbara is sitting on her couch, Jonesy curled up on her lap. Her communicator is carefully angled away from her control centre.

She starts off with a wry wave.] If you can see this, you've gotten pulled into a space prison's telecommunications network. As far as I can tell, it won't affect your systems any, so don't worry.

[Her smile deepens.] And if you're from Gotham, I know damn well this isn't the strangest thing that's happened to you this week.

((Fourth wall! GO TO TOWN.))

Felix! [Now she's outright grinning.] Yes, I did. Or, well, I got her back.

[Jonesy lifts her head, peering curiously into the communicator.]

Did you have a cat I didn't know about?

[bodilesswarrior]

Yes, you're very unobservant. [She holds the flat seriousness for about five seconds, before she smiles again.] I had her as a kid. She went missing.

Oh. [Huh.] Congratulations are in order, then. Any other exciting news I should know about?

[bodilesswarrior]

[Well. There's the big one. Dean left, and we got one who lived through the apocalypse.]

Iris is making mechanical horses.

[itstopped]

[Oh, he's all too aware of that one right now.]

Mechanical horses?

...I don't know why that should surprise me at all.

[bodilesswarrior]

It really shouldn't.

[Jonesy is pawing at the screen, now.]

I think she likes you.

[itstopped]

...Great! [He manages to drum up some fake, if not very convincing, enthusiasm. Cats -- animals in general -- have never really been his thing.]

And that's still... you two are...?

[bodilesswarrior]

That's not very convincing, but we appreciate that effort. [Well, okay, Jonesy would pounce on him regardless if she could.]

And - yeah, we are. [Her smile changes, a little; less amused, more warm.]

[itstopped]

[His own smile, in return, is nothing but warm. He and Iris have never been especially close, but as far as he's concerned, if anyone deserves to be happy with someone, it's Barbara. Especially on the Barge.]

Good.

[And then it goes a little wry.]

Not too much trouble in the engine room, I hope.

[bodilesswarrior]

[She should smirk at that, but instead she almost grimaces.]

Not from Megamind. [No; he can be an obnoxious little ass, but he's been fine to work with, for a good while now.]

Got hijacked again, though.

[itstopped]

Gods. [He blanches.] By who? What happened?

[bodilesswarrior]

My Inmate stole my key. [Her voice is flat, and wry. The angry bitterness is gone, now, but it's still irritating that it happened.] Crashed the Barge into his world.

[itstopped]

[His eyes widen slightly -- that is not the answer he was expecting.]

Well, frak.

[bodilesswarrior]

Basically. [A slight shrug.] We sorted it out.
