[Barbara is sitting her chair, hands folded in her lap.

For the first time, her full setup is in view; all the monitors, the maps, the schematics, the projections. (One is a map of the Barge; one is a theoretical schematic; one is of the space outside.)

When she speaks, her voice is calm and confident, betraying none of the frustration and anxiety that's been tormenting her.]

We all know, by now, that wherever we're headed is dangerous - potentially moreso than anything we've faced before.

I'm here to offer some protection. [She reaches behind her, presses a few keys, and the middle projection changes; it's become a black body suit, slowly revolving, with labels describing each area.] I've been making body armour for a long time, now. It's tough but light-weight. Resistant to bullets, fire, and blades. Give me your measurements and I can provide you with one.

[Her lips quirk.] And I can personalise it if you want.

Of course, they say the best defence is a good offence.

[She changes the projection again, this time showcasing various throwing weapons; shuriken, knives, chakram, darts, and batarangs. Each are labelled and described.]

I can provide you with these weapons and show you how to use them.

...how long does any of this take?

The suits? Working at optimum speed, a few days per.

The metalwork doesn't take long, since I have the molds made already.

As for the training...that depends on the person.

You sounded pretty backed up, but my inmate's creative enough she could use the weapons.

[Barbara waves a hand.]

I thrive on a busy schedule, trust me.

[Then she's smiling.]

You're paired with Anya, right?

[She smiles back, a little more assured - it's easier when she asks for someone else - and nods as if to suggest she might be set.] Yeah. My last warden left me a few things I'm good with, never leave this place without, but I don't think she's got much.

You got a long list on the armor, but she can't run that far, either, and... [A hand waves like she doesn't need to finish that sentence.] Just in case I can't get her out of the way fast enough.

[Barbara nods.] We can set up a meeting any time, then - Anya can give me her measurements and we can figure out a training routine.

You sure you're set for yourself?

[private]

[surrenders]

I won't be until I'm there.

[private]

[A slight, grim smile.]

Always a sensible outlook to have.

[surrenders]

[She smiles back, a little light in her face like Barbara gets it, too.]

If you can do those suits up in batches...

I plan to. I've got Bruce helping, and I bet Steph will, too.

Good.

So you think they're light enough I could handle it?

[private]

[bodilesswarrior]

[Barbara considers, for a moment, before nodding.] Should be. You should still practice moving in it, though.
